It is also more effective than diode laser hair removal in removing stubborn hair, especially when it comes to coarse hairs. Alexandrite lasers are characterized by its ability to deliver a larger amount of energy (in joules) per pulse compared with other types of lasers like Diode. This means that the Alexandrite laser can be used on darker skin without causing burns or damaging the tissue. That makes it ideal for laser hair removal treatment specially for skin type 4.

Yag Laser

The YAG laser is the only safe choice for dark skin types 5 and 6. The YAG laser has a longer wavelength which allows it to penetrate deeper into the skin than the Diode laser. Additionally, the YAG laser is more effective than the Diode laser for hair removal, as it can remove thicker and coarser hairs.
